A true community project

One4 is the result of ongoing collaboration between patients and their families, healthcare professionals, app developers, pharmaceutical partners, and the FAIR-DMD Registry of the Gesellschaft für Neuropädiatrie (GNP). Together, we bring our diverse perspectives to the table to create digital solutions that sustainably improve care for people living with Duchenne and other neuromuscular conditions.

Who operates One4?

The app is operated by Digital Health Companion GmbH (DHC) on behalf of the Gesellschaft für Neuropädiatrie (GNP). DHC is an independent startup founded by two physicians specializing in paediatrics and neuropaediatrics.

Who came up with One4?

We know what the app needs to do — because we’ve heard it directly from those who use it every day: patients and their parents. And from medical experts who are committed to improving care. We listened — and turned your needs into features.

How is One4 financed?

Health apps are expensive. To ensure you can use One4 for free, it is co-financed by ITF Pharma GmbH, Roche Pharma AG and the German innovation fund Invest BW. Further partners are in the pipeline.

Autumn 2025
Connection to clinics

Together with the Gesellschaft für Neuropädiatrie (GNP), we’re integrating the One4 app into the digital care system of specialized treatment centers. The goal: better follow-up care — with clear treatment plans and secure data exchange. You stay up to date without paperwork or detours. Communication also becomes easier: through the app, you can contact your care team directly, ask questions, or manage appointments — all in one place.

2026
Access to studies directly via the app

Through the study tool, you’ll be matched with relevant clinical studies and research questions. You can take part directly via the app and view the results. Thanks to end-to-end encryption and blockchain-based smart contracts, your consent is always required — and every access is fully traceable.

In planning
Integration of other neuromuscular diseases

In the future, One4 will also support people with other neuromuscular and rare conditions. Since many everyday challenges overlap, the community space will be shared — encouraging more exchange, knowledge, and connection. At the same time, the app remains personalized: content and features are tailored to your specific condition and treatment.

"By connecting the app to clinical care, we aim to noticeably ease the day-to-day treatment experience — with clear care plans, efficient communication, and direct transmission of relevant data. This creates a foundation for more individualized therapies, strengthens trust between patients and healthcare professionals, and helps better understand treatment satisfaction."

Our values

Transparent

We communicate openly and transparently — both internally and externally. That’s the only way to build trust and foster true collaboration.

Patient-centered

Our work starts and ends with the needs of patients. We develop with the community — and for the community.

Sustainable

We create solutions that make a lasting impact. Our goal is real value for people — not short-term success.
